Making Disciples
Our High School Youth Ministry provides a place for the young people in our community to seek Jesus alongside their peers and mentors. We offer bible studies, Sacrament Preparation, trips, works of mercy, retreats, conferences, a Student Leadership Team, and more!
Registration for the 2024-2025 Faith Formation is closed, however, all teens are welcome to join us for Youth Group at any point in the year!
San Diego Youth Day 2025
Join your Youth Group friends for a fun day retreat at Mater Dei High School on Saturday, April 27, 2025 for San Diego Youth Day! Hundreds of teens from around the diocese will be gathering for worship (ft. Vinny and friends, by the way!) and talks from guest speakers, as well as workshops and panels answering questions and challenges teens face today!
$50 for registration - transportation and lunch are not included so plan accordingly!
Steubenville San Diego
The Steubenville Youth Conference is returning to San Diego this summer, August 1-3, 2025! This transformative weekend is open to teens as incoming freshmen through graduating seniors.
This is a great opportunity for teens to be inspired in their faith, gathering with thousands of other teens for worship, talks, activities, and times of prayer.

Sacrament Preparation
Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation can begin as early as 9th grade for teens in the Diocese of San Diego. Our program's goal is to build teens into disciples who are ready to understand, live, and defend their faith. Included in preparation is scripture study, weekly Mass participation, retreats for teens and parents, works of mercy, large group sessions, Adoration nights, Sunday Purpose sessions, and at home family sessions. Our program is a "hybrid" structure, so it is done partially at home and on your own schedule, and partially in person at the parish.
If your teen needs to prepare for Baptism, First Communion, or First Reconciliation, we would love to meet with you!
Youth Discipleship Team
Looking to grow in your faith with dedicated peers? Want to learn leadership skills and help create connections with Jesus? We are launching our Youth Discipleship Team this summer, a brand new community open to teens from 10th-12th grades!
